Job Summary (Associate Software Developer):
The Associate Software Developer Trainee will design, develop, and implement new ideas and products for software applications and solutions. The Associate Software Developer Trainee will be accountable for anticipating and resolving problems that impact design of current or developing products. The Associate Software Developer Trainee will perform the research, design, definition and implementation of the product software applications.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities (Associate Software Developer):
- Development and testing of new software applications and solutions.
- Builds and assembles prototype assimilations of software applications and solutions as directed.
- Writes code, completes programming and debugs software applications and solutions.
- Deliver high quality software applications and solutions that are extensible and scalable within the specified timeline.
- Contributes to Code Reviews
- Reviews projects against goals and provides status reports.
- Demonstrate creativity in identifying effective approaches to software and solution development process and promote opportunities for product innovation
- Identify product requirements and potential improvements and discuss them with the Product Development Manager.
- Participate in the complete software development life cycle from requirement gathering to deployment of the product.
- Write and review documentation needed for installation, usage and maintenance of applications and solutions.
- When requested, interface with the product marketing, global services team and Customer/Partners to address issues in the field.
- Cultivate strong working relationships with co-workers.
- Undertake any other assignments for which the company’s management may request your participation from time to time.
Minimum Experience and Skills (Associate Software Developer):
- Knowledge in development environments, debugging tools, source control systems.
- Working knowledge in one or more of C/C++, .Net/C#, Java or Databases is preferred
- Working knowledge in HTML, ASP/JSP, VBScript, JavaScript, COM, XML, Unix and Win32 is desirable.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Able to cultivate interpersonal Customer/Partner relationships and cohesive team interactions and communications.
- Assertive self-starter with excellent organizational skills
Job Summary (Test Engineer): Aptean India is looking for Associate Test Engineer who will develop and execute product test cases and automated test controls for directed software applications, solutions and services. He/She will be responsible for developing and implementing software Test Plans, solutions for complex problems in the current and developing products.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities (Test Engineer):
- Learn and understand Aptean product features and technology architecture.
- Design and develop test plans, test cases based upon functional and design specifications
- Execute functional, regression, upgrade, deployment, sanity, configuration and performance tests for Aptean products.
- Work closely with software developers to understand product specifications and work to identify, design and enhance test plans and test cases to support releases.
- Deliver high quality software applications and solutions within the specified timeline
- Configure the necessary test environment including OS installation and IT setup.
- Identify effective approaches to testing process and promote opportunities for product innovation.
- Communicate testing status and issues on a regular basis with help of company-approved procedures.
- Interact with Technical Writers and ensure product documentation validates the actual performance of the product.
- Keep abreast of the technical knowledge, tools and processes related to testing.
- Undertake any other assignments for which the company’s management may request your participation from time to time.
Minimum Experience and Skills (Test Engineer):
- Broad technical knowledge including operating system fundamentals, basic systems administration (installing and configuring operating systems and hardware), good software engineering practice, software design principles.
- Must have programming ability in one or more of Scripting, HTML, ASP/JSP, VBScript, JavaScript, XML, UNIX or Win32. (Highly Desirable)
- Work with the team of QA engineers in creating test plans and test cases of assigned features.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be able to read and interpret complex information.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision as well as work in a team.
